Hi everyone!  Thanks for stopping by!

I'm sharing a layout that I just finished today!  It is my second one of recent, regarding our daughter Courtenay's sewing adventures...she loves to sew and she so loves to sew for other people, even her brother!

The papers are from Close To My Heart Florentine WOTG Kit, the following Silhouette Studio Files: angel folk art quilt appliqué block, thread spool card for journaling inside, life is sew good title block, stitching flourishes & stitching squares to mount title onto.  Font Backhand Brush then simply offset for shadow.  I used my Silhouette Cameo but these files could easily have been cut with the Portrait machine as well.  I used some embroidery floss for stitching the geometric squares under the title as well as in the buttons.  I didn't have the right colour for threading on the spool so I simply slid white cotton under my Distress Ink Marker in Rusty Hinge (let it dry for a while as I was impatient and ended up marking the colonial white cardstock underneath :()  I used the print & cut feature of the Silhouette Studio to print out the Life is sew good block for the second page of my layout.  The flags on the second page were included in the Close To My Heart Florentine WOTG.  The buttons, dew drops etc. were misc. stuff in my stash.  I added one wooden button close to the spool to hold the journaling card closed when not being read.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you will come by again soon!

Have a SCRAPtastic day!
