We simply love Grand Turk!

Hi there!  Thank you so much for allowing me to share my blog with you today!

This is the last layout of our time in Grand Turk while on our 25th Wedding Anniversary!  I have really enjoyed scrapbooking these pages as it is like going there all over again!

This is the last of the Club Scrap March 2007 kit!   I cut the coral and conch shells from the 'Life's a Beach' Cricut Cartridge.  Grand Turk has a fun, unique way of forecasting the weather, using the conch shell, and I just had to scrapbook about it, so these cuts from Life's a Beach help to tell the story for me.

I applied adhesive to the coral cuts and layers of the conch shells, then covered them with glitter by Glitter Ritz.  If you haven't tried this product, why not?  This is the best glitter you will ever find!  You put it on, it stays put and you and your pets won't be eating it for days on end!  Promise!  I wish the photo of the layout did it justice because the sparkle is breathtaking!

To purchase Glitter Ritz locally in Cranbrook BC, head to The Hobby Shoppe.  Elsewhere in Canada you can find it at Scrapbook City in BC Canada and in the USA you can find it at many retailers and online.

Have a SCRAPtastic day!

Blessings,
Melitta

Our Love Boat

Hello my friends!
Thank you for letting me share my blog with you today!  As you can see, I'm still working on getting our 25th Anniversary Cruise scrapbooked, I'm way behind but making ground and that's all that matters!

Again I'm using the Club Scrap March 2007 Rhapsody kit.  I would never have put these colors together myself and that is why I love their kits, they really open me up to bolder color choices than I would have ever used!  If you need help with color choices there are some great blogs & forums out there, note down the great color combinations they have used and then add those color schemes to your own scrapbooks!

I used the following Tim Holtz Distress Inks to add the shadows around the edges of my papers: Ripe Persimmon, Faded Jeans, Scattered Straw and Antique Linen.

A cool tool that Tim Holtz and Ranger have provided is a color chart that you can download and then add color from your inks to create a great swatch book!  Once you have color on your swatch sheet, you need only hold it next to the project you are working on and you will be able to see what color inks will work with your project!

Have a SCRAPtastic day!

Blessings,
Melitta
