Grand Cayman - Fun in the sun!

Thanks for letting me share my blog with you today!

This layout was created with the Close To My Heart Magnifique Workshop On The Go from Autumn/Winter 2010.  The embellishments are from an old Jolee's (Seaside Serenity), from Carnival Cruise Scrapbook Kits (Dolphin, splash & 'fun in the sun'), gems from the local $ Store and ribbon slides from Stampin' Up.  The bare foot paper clip was from Staples.  The words 'Grand Cayman' are gold rubons that were purchased from QVC many years ago, and I think because of this age they bubbled in areas but that was easily covered with gems which brightened the who look anyway.  The fun tip here is to cut strips of ribbon to feed through the ribbon slides!  They lay flat and feed easily.
This Carnival Cruise took us to Grand Cayman!  We had never been and we just fell in love when we swam in the ocean with its warm, crystal clear waters!  I want to go back again soon!
Have a SCRAPtastic day!

The privilege of a lifetime is being who you are.

Back today with another layout made with Club Scrap's Rhapsody set March 2007.  I had some fun playing with stencils & using vellum to mute some of the stenciled images.  The brown ink was laid down on plain cardstock through the stencil and once dry covered with vellum.  On the vellum I continued to add the rusty colored ink, again through a stencil, to encircle the brown images showing through.  'it's all good' was also stenciled on.  I put some Fastinater staples on the corner of the photo mats, manually as I don't have the actual 'fastinater tool', just a few staples I inherited.  Stickers & 3D drink were from Carnival Cruise Line Scrapbook at Sea kits (you can purchase 12x12 albums from their website but the actual papers and embellishments are only available on the cruise ships).  The plastic embellishment is from my stash (read as so old I don't remember where I got them or who made them :() and the ribbon slide numbers are from Diecuts With A View but were purchase many years ago (I'm using up my stash :)).

Gettin' Silly in Key West

Thank you for letting me share my blog with you today!

Today's layout is still another from the CTMH May Workshop Deal called Dream Pop!  Best $10 I ever spent!

This layout is based on the pattern Mesmerize in the CTMH Magic instruction book!  Ummm maybe I'm over using it LOL?!?   I really do have the other instructional books but I just can't get enough of this one!

The title is a mix of the Keyboard Kraft Alphabet and the Canvas Alphabet.  The little word captions were actually on one of the 'zip strips' back of the papers informational strip at the bottom of each 12x12 paper.  The 12" x 1/2" strip on the right page layout is also a zip strip.  The round plastic elements 'princess' & 'spirit', the rubber embellishment (Sweet with hearts), the 3 metal expressive words and the flowers were all from my stash so I'm sorry I don't have a company name to give you.  I have made a commitment this year, along with almost everyone I'm sure, to use  4 of what I own to one newly purchased item, and this layout got a dose of that commitment LOL!  The orange polka dot center of the white flower is a piece I broke off of a type of paper clip I found in Staple's last year.  I just took my hubby's pliers and twisted it of, quite easily, then used silicon (Clear Silicone adhesive sealant for glass & ceramic in a yellow tube, I use for paper tole etc) and it is good and stuck!  The profile went down a lot once the 'paper clip' type piece was removed too so I'm not worried about the 'bulk' in the scrapbook.

This is my beautiful daughter and I goofing around in Key West at this great little shop at the pier!  We have such a good time together!

Courtenay's Little Zoo

Thanks for letting me share my blog with you today!

This is another layout from that great Dream Pop Workshop!  I can't believe how many papers came in that promotion for only $10!!  Yup, spent $35 dollars then was able to get the workshop for $10!  Love those kind of deals!

The layout was based on the Ta - Da! pattern in the CTMH Magic instructional book!  Have I told you how much I love these books?!?!  LOL!

The pinwheels came from the May 2013 SOTM (Stamp of the month in case you are not familiar with CTMH) called Pinwheel.  The word 'Everything's' is made from the Tiny Type Epoxy Alphabet the word 'Beautiful' was on the 12x12 sheet, 'in' from the Keyboard Kraft Alphabet,' Courtenay's' from some rubons from my stash, 'little' was hand written with a Micron india ink pen and 'zoo' is punched from a 12x12 paper of typewriter keys, from my stash, with the large flower on the Stampin' Up Boho Blossoms punch.  The large shape behind the title was cut from the CTMH Cricut Cartridge Art Philosophy on page 62. All other images were printed on the paper.

Journaling:  If you don't want the cabin steward to dismantle your towel animal zoo, write a very nice letter to him explaining your goal to love and keep them forever! or at least until you have to go home!

Thanks for looking!

Have a SCRAPtastic day!
